About Lakelyn Wiley

Lakelyn Wiley is a rising senior history major at UMW. Her interest history is vast and covers a wide variety of topics such as: The Ottoman Empire and Turkey, the Cold War and Russia, 19th and 20th-century American history, and medieval history. Her thesis for the fall of 2018 will be focused on Liberia and the emigration of African American Freedmen in the 19th century. When she is not buried under mountains of books and paperwork, Lakelyn enjoys running, reading, watching the Office, and volunteering for AdventureTails at the Fredericksburg SPCA. She is excited about her approaching graduation and cannot wait to see what life post-grad has to offer!
